As most of you know, but a good number do not, I am an American and this weekend is the 250th anniversary of my country’s founding.
I’d like to celebrate with you on this special July 4 weekend by sharing a particularly timely film: Gaia’s documentary of the results of our Peace Intention Experiment® for Washington D. C., which we ran on February 1, 2025.
Our target was to lower violence in the three most violent areas of D.C. and to increase peace in the Congress across the water.
As always with a Peace Intention Experiment®, we had to wait patiently for six months to see what the outcome would be in lowering violence. And then Gaia needed to send camera crews to film participants in places around America, the UK and other parts of Europe to show the life-changing effects of this intention.
The resulting documentary about my experiment demonstrates the sheer power of a group of people putting aside differences and coming together for a common goal.
Not only did violence in our targeted areas drop sharply, starting on February 1 itself, but it continued to fall over the months. Six months later (and before President Trump called in the National Guard) violent crime was only 55-60 percent of what it had been and what was expected in those three targeted zones, as calculated by Jessica Utts, a noted professor of statistics at the University of California at Irvine.
For me, though, the most amazing result was the effect on the senders themselves. As you’ll see on the documentary, we took before and after measurements on the 44 attendees and discovered that participating in the experiment had an amazing effect on lowering stress and re-balancing the nervous system.
And afterward, thousands of people told me in surveys I ran afterward that the medical conditions they had were improved or even healed, and you’ll see some of those results in the film.
In 1776 the founding fathers produced a new vision of a shiny new world. But since that time what Americans – and people around the globe – have forgotten is the sheer power we hold in our hands for radical transformation and healing, just by coming together and holding onto that vision with our collective thoughts.
This is my Fourth of July prayer to you, wherever you live: may you experience the extraordinary healing effects of coming together with one voice for a higher purpose.
As the founders of my country understood then, and as we are proving scientifically now, all it takes is one good thought to heal ourselves, each other and the world. You can watch the film about the Peace Intention Experiment for FREE here.
