A member of our community has nominated their husband Sean Connolly, aged 45, from Bonn, Germany for an Intention of the Week. Here is his story:
‘My husband Sean was diagnosed with colitis-induced colorectal cancer in September of 2023. This hit us out of clear blue sky; aside from a Crohn’s diagnosis in 2009 (which after a few months was more or less in remission), Sean was fit and healthy.
‘We have four young children, and Sean is the most wonderful, loving, fun and dedicated father you could imagine. Despite all the ups and downs (treatments, surgeries, ‘remission’, surgeries, treatments…), Sean has been positive throughout. He sees his diagnosis as a kick onto the path of spiritual enlightenment and has been truly transformed. He wants nothing more than to get healthy so he can be here for his children and give back to others.’
