A member of our community has nominated Carlos Castaño, aged 69, from Medellin, Colombia for an Intention of the Week. Here is his story:
‘Carlos has been diagnosed with AL amyloidosis (light-chain or primary amyloidosis), a rare condition in which abnormal plasma cells produce misfolded light-chain proteins that can accumulate in the body and affect the organs.’
