A member of our community has nominated her mother, Wendy Rochat, aged 82, from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa for an Intention of the Week. Here is her story:
‘Wendy (my mom) was diagnosed with colon cancer and was told that she needed urgent surgery. Following the operation, she was left with a stoma bag, which has been particularly challenging for her because she also lives with macular degeneration.
‘It has now been two years since her operation, and Wendy continues to face the challenges of living with a stoma.’
