A member of our community has nominated Claire Van Hoorn, aged 22, from Amsterdam, The Netherlands for an Intention of the Week. Here is her story:
‘Claire has been living with myasthenia gravis, a rare autoimmune condition that affects communication between the nerves and muscles, since she was five. As a result, she experiences significant muscle weakness and reduced energy and needs ongoing medication and treatments to manage her condition.
‘Since last year, Claire has been able to return to school, an important milestone that has brought renewed hope and purpose to her journey. Although everyday activities can still require considerable effort, she continues to move forward with courage and determination.’
