A member of our community has nominated Cindy Stewart, aged 62, from Michigan in the US for an Intention of the Week. Here is her story:
‘Cindy was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
‘She is on a clinical trial drug Q702 to kill leukemia cells. So far leukemia cells are still present and until they are gone and she is in remission, she can’t get a bone marrow transplant.
‘To be able to receive the transplant, she needs to be free of leukemia cells by the end of February. Also, she needs gain the weight that she lost due to all these procedures. It’s a critical situation.’
