In September last year Andrew was complaining of pain in his eyes which he thought was due to computer usage. He was given some eyedrops, which the doctor said could possibly cause hyperacusis (hypersensitivity to certain ranges of sound)—which he then got. His eye condition still has not changed and still causes pain, but now he has this severe sound sensitivity and tinnitus, which has affected his whole life.
