Intention of the Week: Carol Prendergast
Help her to overcome metastatic melanoma

A member of our community Carol Prendergast, aged 68, from Tuncurry, Australia has nominated herself for an Intention of the Week. Here is her story:
“I have 2 huge lumps under my left arm in the lymph nodes.
"One lump has broken out, bleeding & leaking lymph fluid & blood for the last 3 weeks, they have grown & are very smelly, maybe dead cells coming out. I disinfect them everytime I change dressing 3x a day. I can fit them in the palm of my hand. The surgeon reckons they're metastatic melanoma as I've had a couple of melanomas removed before.
"I had a biopsy last week & waiting for a Petscan, so I will know for sure soon. They're quite sore, the skin around is blistered & chaffed from constantly using sticky plaster to stick pad down. The surgeon said he can remove them, but that's very invasive and would leave a huge scar."
