A member of our community has nominated her daughter, Allison Cherie Eugster, aged 31, from Colorado, in the USA, for an Intention of the Week. Here is her story:

‘Allison was delivered via C-section and was quickly taken from me after a fleeting greeting. Her arms were strapped to a board for x-rays, and then she was flown to a different hospital in another city without her father or me. A doctor informed me that she likely had a kidney tumor.

In the ICU of the new hospital, her feet were pricked with needles, and she underwent surgery four days later. It wasn't until five days after her birth that I could see and hold her.

For the first three years, she was plagued by night terrors every evening.

Life settled for a bit, only to be disrupted by our abrupt move to another state just as things were looking up for her.

A year later, her father and I decided to divorce. The news overwhelmed her, leading to severe acne and the need for homeschooling.

Now at 31, she feels lost and confused. She has yet to find a loving, respectful relationship, something she deeply yearns for—to be loved and cherished unconditionally and to discover her purpose in life through fulfilling work.

Currently, she is grappling with feelings of being lost, unwanted and unloved.’
