A member of our community has nominated her son, Akshay Mehta, aged 35, from Mumbai, India for an Intention of the Week. Here is his story:
‘I’m sharing this with a heart full of hope and a humble request for collective prayers and healing energy for my beloved son, Akshay Mehta.
‘On 28th February 2022, Akshay suffered a sudden brain aneurysm rupture, which led to a massive hemorrhage and subsequent complications. Since that day, he has been in a state of complete immobility, fully dependent and bedridden.
‘Before this life-altering event, Akshay was a fit, passionate young man a rising film and video editor, full of dreams, warmth and immense compassion. He was our strength, taking care of me and his younger brother, Kaushik, who is 32. Kaushik has since put his entire life on hold, refusing to move forward until his brother rises and dances again.
‘Just 20 days before the incident, Akshay met his soulmate, Ayushi. What we believed was a blossoming new love turned out to be the most profound connection, and one that continues to give us strength. Today, Ayushi believes more than any of us that one day she will marry Akshay. She has become our pillar of hope and unwavering support, and we love her deeply, just as Akshay does.
‘Despite the medical challenges and guarded prognosis, we still believe in miracles, love and the healing power of collective intention. We request you to please hold Akshay in your hearts, prayers, meditations, and healing energies. Every thought, every vibration of hope counts.’
